Description
The Hartsville High School RED REGIME is looking for a qualified percussion tech for the 25-26 marching band season. Pay is competitive and is based on experience as well as time commitment to the program for the fall marching band season starting in APRIL with spring camp. As a percussion ensemble, we have 11-15 percussion strong in marching band and about 12-15 at the high school in a separate percussion ensemble class that the tech could assist with if they wished (JAN-MAY) . There is a possibility for a drumline this year, we are looking for a well rounded tech not specific for one area. These roles could also lead to an indoor percussion role (additional pay/separate contract). Recruitment and retention are major focuses in 2024 and if the tech had time, assistance could always be used at our feeder program when needed for concerts / solos. Applications will be accepted until roles are filled.
Requirements
At minimum we will need someone for: band camp, two rehearsals a week (once the school year starts), and at Saturday competitions (3-5 a year, including the one we host).
Experience with audio tech for this position would be a plus, but not required. We are looking at some new percussion / sound equipment that the tech would be introduced to.
