North Augusta, SC — Funeral Services for Terry Jenkins, 64, who entered into rest December 25, 2019, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o’clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. John Meyer officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6 pm.
Terry was a lifelong resident of the North Augusta area and was the daughter of the late W. John Jenkins and Margaret Jenkins. She was a member of Belvedere First Baptist Church, the Golden Ages, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Red Hat Society. Terry received her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and was an avid Gamecock fan. She retired from the Aiken County School System as Band Director. Her teaching career included LBC High School, North Augusta Middle School and Mead Hall Episcopal School. Terry was a member of the South Carolina Band Directors Association, South Carolina Music Educators Association, National Association for Music Education and recently received the lifetime membership award from Phi Beta Mu. The family would like to express their appreciation to Cathy Farley and Serena Edwards for the loving care they provided during Terry’s illness.
Survivors include two brothers, Jay A. Jenkins, Concord, NC and John B. (Rhonda) Jenkins, Spotsylvania, VA; four nephews, Harrison Jenkins, Ramsay Jenkins, Conner Jenkins and Dallas Jenkins.
