Founded in 1976 by James K. Copenhaver, the USC Band Clinic continues to be one of the nation’s premier honor band events. Participation is open to outstanding 10-12 grade students who have been nominated by their high school band directors.
Nominations from high school band directors are now being accepted online and are due by December 11, 2018 at 5:00 pm EST. At that point in time, the nomination link will become inactive, and late nominations will not be accepted. Only online nominations will be accepted, and directors should nominate students in ranked order. For every school that nominates students, the top woodwind student and the top brass student will be selected to participate. Any others will be selected on a space-available basis, and selections will be based on the ranked order and information submitted by band directors. Selections will be sent out via email no later than January 11, 2019.
