Chesnee Eagles

"Eagle Classic"
AWARDS: Trophies will be awarded in each of the five classes in the following categories: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place; Best Horn Line, Best Drum Major, Band Front; and Drum Line. Silver Champions (Classes I-III) and Gold Champions (Classes IV - V) will be based as combined Music, Marching and General Effect scores. Best Overall Soloist and Pit Crew will also be awarded. A Grand Champion trophy will be presented to the highest scoring band regardless of class, based on combined Music, Marching and General Effect Scores.

Class I 24 and Under
Class II 25 to 44
Class III 45 to 64
Class IV 65 to 84
Class V 85 and Above

Class Size May Be Adjusted For Fairness!!!

VIDEO AND AUDIO TAPES: Each director will receive audio cassettes with judge's comments plus a video tape of their band’s performance. Video cameras are allowed in the stadium, but are not allowed access to the pressbox.


TICKETS: Admission will be $6.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior citizens with proper I.D., and children under six $3.00.  Eagle Classic souvenir programs may be purchased for $1.00.


DRUMLINE COMPETITION: We will be having a drum line competition before the dinner break.  More rules will follow


JUDGES: There will be one judge in the following captions:  Music, Marching, General Effect, Drum Major, Drum Line and Band Front.  There will be three judges for the drum line competition.
SCORING:
The competition will be scored as follows:
Music.......................................................... 40 points
Marching .................................................... 35 points
General Effect ........................................... 25 points
Total Possible ............................................. 100 points
 
Drum Line .................................................... 100 points
Drum Major ................................................. 100 points
Band Front ................................................. 100 points
RULES:
Chesneechk.gif (73 bytes) Class I, II and III bands will have fifteen minutes to enter the field, perform a short warm-up, perform their show and exit the field. Class IV and Class V Bands will have twenty minutes. Please do not exceed ten minutes with your show.
Chesneechk.gif (73 bytes) Bands may enter the stadium with a cadence, but must exit with a drum tap.
Chesneechk.gif (73 bytes) Bands must enter and exit from the upper left corner (press box perspective).
Chesneechk.gif (73 bytes) Bands will be penalized for unnecessary delay or disruption of the contest. Contest chairman will assess any penalties.
Chesneechk.gif (73 bytes) No coolers, food or drink will be allowed through the gate. NO GRILLS WILL BE TOLERATED IN THE PARKING LOT.
REGISTRATION FEE: A $50.00 registration fee will be required for all applications. Deadline for mailed entries will be September 30th, 2005. Entries by phone may be made up to October 4th, 2005. Order of performance will be determined by postmark. Please mail registrations to address on the application.
