Classification:
Classification will be determined by size
of horn line.
Performance Order:
Performance order will be determined by
postmark date of application.
Scoring:
The overal score will be determined as
follows - Music 40%, Marching 30%, General Effect 30% (1 adjudicator per caption)
(Drum Major, Dum Line, and Auxiliary
scores will not affect overall score, but will also have 1 adjudicator per
caption)
Scoring will be based on the scoring
format of the South Carolina Band Director’s Association.
The following ratings will be
awarded:
Superior:
85-100
Excellent:
70-84.9
Quality:
< 70
Awards:
-1st Place Drum Major, Drum Line, Horn
Line, and Auxiliaries in each class
-Best Soloist in each class
-1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in each class
-People's Choice Award (determined bu audience
vote)
-Grand Champion Award
Facilities:
Full facilities will be provided including
dressing rooms, rest rooms, concessions, and Directors' Hospitality Room.
Video
and Audio Tapes:
Each director will receive judge’s
comments on an audiocassette plus a complimentary videotape of their band’s
performance.
Video
cameras are allowed in the stadium, but are not allowed access to the press
box.
