The Union High School Band-Aide Club and the Union Daily Times would like to invite your band participate in the fifteenth Annual Wilbur F. Smith Invitational Marching Band Competition. It will be held at the Union Country Stadium in Union, South Carolina, on Saturday, October 12, 2002. One of our major goals in this competition is to cater, whenever possible, to the individual needs of each band involved.. We want your warm-up time, parking, dressing, and eating to be as pleasant as possible. Spacious dressing facilities will be available. We will provide a shuttle service for your sideline equipment from the parking area to the field. A concession stand will be operated in the band parking area. If there are any additional ways we can accommodate you, please let us know. |

| Registration: | $25.00 (Includes video tape of performance) | ||||||||||
| Registration Deadline: | We would appreciate your entry as soon as possible. Entry deadline is September 27, 2002. | ||||||||||
| Admission: |
All bands and chaperones will be admitted free. Tickets are $6.00. |

| Classification: | Bands will be grouped in Four Classes (according to the natural breaks in horn line totals.) | ||||||||||

| Time: | (Bands may compete above their class, but not below their
class.) Please plan a 6-10 minute show. |

| A ratings trophy will of superior, excellent, or good will be presented to all bands not placing in the top three in each class. | |||||||||||

| 2) Marching | 4) Visual Effect | 6) Drum Line | |||||||||
