The Golden Regiment Booster Association is pleased to announce the 8th annual Travelers Rest High School Golden Invitational to be held on October 10, 1998. This year's competition will be held in the 16,000 seat Paladin Stadium, on the campus of Furman University.
To insure that you can obtain a performance position preferred by you, please enter early by enclosed card. Positioning will be handled by the earliest postmark.
Entry Deadline is September 9th. Classification will be based on horn line numbers.

Bands may compete above their class, but not below their class. Division sizes may be adjusted to accommodate fair distribution of bands in each class.

The contest will be judged using the National Band Association Caption Judging System. Score Sheets will reflect a 60% - 40% balance for Music vs. Visual and a 60% - 40% balance for Execution vs. Effect.
Music Performance, Visual Performance and Overall Effect will be scored by two judges each.
Scheduling: Fifteen minute intervals for small Classes and twenty minute intervals for Class I. All bands should attempt to perform within a six to ten minute time span.
$35.00 registration fee: Includes video tape of performance. Checks are to be made payable to 'The Golden Regiment Band Booster Association" and need to be mailed by September 9th.
